Newest Projects

We have a new person in the gifted position who had been in the science classroom for about ten years. Her background is in science and math; literature has not been her thing. Gifted education requires and demands literature exploration, as well as the sciences and mathematics, which brings me into the picture. YEAH! Having the opportunity to work with her is great; having the opportunity to work with these students is even better.

Through some research and investigation we collaborated to offer these students a variety of challenging, thought provoking books for a Book Group. After reading the book their assignment was to review or create a promotion for the book. Here is the first one completed (amazingly) in about fifteen minutes by an eighth grade student.
